#ClickItOrTicket Safety Belt Enforcement Wave Going On NOW - Buckle Up

The LakelandPD is joining with departments across the state in the Click It or Ticket Enforcement Campaign. The enforcement runs from November 17 thru November 30, 2015 at midnight.

Officers from the Lakeland Police Department will be monitoring our roadways for safety belt usage and issuing citations during this campaign and citations for failure to wear your seat belt. The fine is $114.00.

The ”Click it or Ticket” initiative is designed to increase public safety awareness about the us age of seat/safety belt usage and our goal with participating in this campaign is two (2) fold; to gain compliance with State law, and to save lives.

"We took Tori out to eat for her birthday. She was wearing a birthday sash and twirling around in front of the police officer. He told her Happy Birthday and her face just lit up! We went on to order our food and the officer left. He then came back with a stuffed animal to give to her! He said she was just too cute not to go get her something!!! What a blessing to have such awesome officers in our community!"

Thank You Officer Cortes for being YOU and showing us the great things law enforcement officers do everyday.
