The Affordable Housing Office uses a portion of its funding to subsidize the purchase of a home by qualified buyers. Income requirements and subsidy levels vary by program and funding source, but all require completion of a HUD-approved homebuyer education class. Keystone Challenge Fund, Inc. partners with the City to provide homebuyer counseling and other services which further the City's home purchase assistance activities. Please visit Keystone Challenge Fund's website to learn more or to register for a homebuyer class.
In addition to home purchase assistance outlined above, the City of Lakeland has several properties available for purchase through the Federal Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP).
