  • The City is currently in the process of evaluating its Comprehensive Plan to look forward and develop a strategy for growth over the next 10 years (2020-2030). It’s time to Look Forward Lakeland!!
  • The purpose of the Lakeland Comprehensive Plan is to establish City goals, objectives and policies that will be effective at managing growth and development.
  • One of the key aspects of this planning effort is to identify and understand the priorities and concerns of Lakeland residents and City leaders in order to develop a vision for the future of the community.

Q: Will my survey answers actually be taken into consideration?

A: Yes! Both state law and good planning practice call for effective citizen participation in the development or updating of a comprehensive plan. We want to make sure that the Comprehensive Plan reflects the desires of the citizens of Lakeland.


Q: How long will this survey be conducted?

A: This public outreach campaign will be conducted at least through the month of July 2019 or until we gather a good sample of Lakeland residents.


Q: How can I help spread the word? 

A: We encourage everyone, after taking the survey, to share it with your Lakeland friends and family on social media. If you'd like to include this survey on your church bulletin, local publication, or website, feel free to contact us at (863) 834-5247 during business hours.
