This survey has closed as of July 31, 2019 and is currently under review by City staff. We would like to thank each of you who participated and took the time to give the City of Lakeland your valuable feedback. Now the hard work begins to go through the entire Comprehensive Plan and make updates on our policy based on where our City is currently and the priorities Lakelanders are asking for. Public Meetings

The schedule below indicates when public meetings were held to discuss Lakeland's Comprehensive Plan and gather feedback from the public on the issues that concern them most. The information gathered from the surverys submitted during this public engagement campaign are currently under review and will be used to modify the policies of the City's growth plan that will be in effect from 2020-2030.   • The City is currently in the process of evaluating its Comprehensive Plan to look forward and develop a strategy for growth over the next 10 years (2020-2030). It’s time to Look Forward Lakeland!!
  • The purpose of the Lakeland Comprehensive Plan is to establish City goals, objectives and policies that will be effective at managing growth and development.
  • One of the key aspects of this planning effort is to identify and understand the priorities and concerns of Lakeland residents and City leaders in order to develop a vision for the future of the community.
