June 7th - July 30th 2021
It's finally here! The Summer Reading Challenge 2021
This year's summer reading theme is Tails and Tales, and we're getting in touch with nature. Think all things animals, with some conservation information thrown in. It's like going to camp, without leaving home. Just like camp, you'll complete activities to earn badges. Those badges will enter you into drawings for some very special prizes.
For kids aged 0 - 12, we've got the Tails & Tales Trek Guide and Reading Challenge.
For teens and adults aged 13 and up, we've got the Tails & Tales Field Guide and Reading Challenge.
No matter which challenge you participate in, the easiest way to track your reading and earn badges is to sign up at Beanstack. If you signed up last summer, please take a moment to update your information. If this will be your first year participating, we have some tutorials that will show you how easy it is to sign up and start logging.
We will have paper guides available. In the Kids' Challenge, the paper trek guide is for the stickers you collect as part of summer reading. The Adult and Teen Summer Reading Challenge Field Guide can be used to see challenges and activities as a whole, and plan your summer reading experience. However, in order to earn badges and to be entered in to any our prize drawings, you must log your reading and activities into Beanstack. If you are unable to access Beanstack you can bring your paper guides into any library branch and staff will add the reading and activities you have completed on your behalf.
