The City of Lakeland will join in celebrating Black History Month at Jackson Park on Saturday, February 15th for our third Annual Black History Festival. Join the community for a fun-filled family-friendly day full of performances, food, and craft vendors!
There will be LOTS of food this year, including hot dogs, smoked turkey legs, baked goods, candy apples, boiled peanuts, shaved ice, fruit cups and more. We will also have clothing, jewelry, body oils/soap/lotion, art, handmade crocheted goods, poetry book, CD, and t-shirt vendors!
This year's entertainment lineup is stellar! We will have:
Ms. Gloria (Corona's Fruit), Fred's Roadside Cafe, Top-a-Dog, Kona Ice, House of Fragrance, Fortified, Afri Creations, From the Heart, Lady Em's Scented Burning Oils, Beautiful!Bold!Bling! Paparazzi, City of Lakeland Solid Waste/Recycling & City of Lakeland Parks & Recreation Nursery (giving away free plants!), and more.
