Stephanie Madden

Commissioner (2018-2025) | District: At-Large (Seat 1)

Stephanie Madden is a small business owner and community volunteer who moved to Lakeland in 1985. She and her husband, Steve, started a business in their two-bedroom apartment in 1995-Madden Branded Goods, a promotional marketing company.

She currently serves as Director of People and Culture at Madden and offers her industry insight as a Promotional Products Association of Florida board member. Stephanie is a mom of six children and a grandmother. She is a Past President and 25-year member of the Junior League, a graduate of Leadership Lakeland Class XXII, attends Grace City Church and is a Daughter of the American Revolution. She has been on the boards of Lighthouse Ministries, Success by 6, Young Life Polk County, Lakeland Assemblies Cotillion Club, Lakeland Lacrosse, and the LHS Parent Teacher Partnership. She has been on Polk Vision’s Literacy Council and is currently on the SMART Communities LEAD team, the Polk Career Academies Advisory Board, SEU’s National Leadership Forum O2 committee and the Catapult Lakeland board.

As a commissioner she has served on the Gang Task Force, Lakeland Vision Board and Mayor’s Council on the Arts. She is the current chair for the Municipal Boards & Committees and the Broadband Task Force. She sits on the Community Redevelopment Area advisory board, Polk County Tourism Development Council, and serves as a commission liaison for Lakeland Sister Cities, Lift Lakeland and Lakeland Electric. She also has the honor of representing the Atlantic Region on the American Public Power Association’s Policy Maker Committee.
