The 38th annual Lakeland Christmas Parade, hosted by the Junior League of Greater Lakeland, took place in Downtown Lakeland on Thursday, December 6th...and what a sight it was! With over 116 entries, this year's parade, with the theme of A Storybook Christmas was quite festive and the floats were spectacular!
On Sunday, December 2nd, the Jewish Festival of Lights was celebrated with a menorah lighting ceremony, "Light up the Lake," at Lake Mirror. Happy Hanukkah, Lakeland!
This week's City Commission Meeting took place on Monday, December3rd at City Hall. In addition to presenting beautification awards and presenting proclamations, the Mayor and City Commission heard public comment and voted on scheduled agenda items.
Here to receive the proclamation were Frank R. Perez and local Cadets from the Lakeland Composite Squadron- Civil Air Patrol of the Florida Wing, Civil Air Patrol (U.S. Air Force Auxiliary).
