City Commission Proclamations

Each month, Mayor William "Bill" Mutz and the Lakeland City Commission present a variety of proclamations. These proclamations are a great way to help spread awareness for specific local, state and and national causes.

Rally the Spirit College Night - September 13, 2018 | Here to receive the proclamation are representatives from the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce and local Colleges and Universities.

The Lakeland Chamber of Commerce and the City of Lakeland, FL from Lakeland's many colleges and universities desire to co-host an annual community gathering to welcome college students to Lakeland.

International Day of Peace 2018

International Day of Peace – September 21, 2018 | Here to receive the proclamation is Reverend Dr. Robert Moses with St. David's Episcopal Church.

In 1981, the United Nations proclaimed the International Day of Peace be “devoted to commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples”. The observance of the International Day of Peace is intended to affirm a vision of our world at peace and to foster cooperation among individuals, organizations, and nations. We recognize that all people share the essence of our common humanity that transcends race, ethnicity or national origin, binding us together as the family of humankind.
