LAKELAND, FL (August 16, 2022) | A portion of South Massachusetts Avenue between East Lime Street and Lake Morton Drive will be closed August 26-28th so rooftop air conditioning equipment can be replaced on the Citizens Bank & Trust Building, located at 402 South Kentucky Avenue.  The parking spaces along the north side of Lake Morton Drive, east of South Massachusetts Avenue will also be closed.  Payne Air Conditioning will be removing the existing cooling tower units on the roof of the building and replacing the cooling towers with new units.  The only way to safely do the work is with a large boom crane.  The crane being used has a 197-foot main boom with a 43-foot fly jib.  The work is scheduled to take three days. All detours will be clearly marked to reduce the impact to drivers and pedestrians.
