Classes Are In Session!


From knitting to photo basics and Windows 8 to your favorite apps, you'll want to learn something new with us! All classes are free. Space is limited and registration is required. 


  • Computer Basics*
    Tuesday, May 5 / 2pm-4pm
    *Windows 8 laptop required
    Learn about the Start screen, getting and using apps, the familiar desktop and navigating around your PC.

  • Photo Basics*
    Thursday, May 7 / 2pm-4pm
    *Camera or smart phone required
    Learn about camera settings, shutter speeds and apertures and their effects on an image.

  • Online Photo Editing
    Tuesday, May 12 / 2pm-4pm
    Learn to edit a photo using free online tools. Remove red eye, rotate images and convert photos to black and white.

  • eBook Basics*
    Thursday, May 14 / 2pm-4pm
    *Apple or Android device required
    Learn how to download and install eBooks to your device from OverDrive and Axis 360.

  • Knitting Basics
    Tuesday, May 19 / 2pm-4pm
    A beginner's class designed to teach the basics of knitting. Learn about slip knots and casting on, knit stitching and binding off, or simply drop by for a refresher course.

  • Favorite Mobile Apps*
    Thursday, May 21 / 2pm-4pm
    *Apple or Android device required
    Learn about Apple and Android apps and their uses, everything from note-taking apps to learning a new language.

  • Mobile Tech Time*
    Tuesday, May 26 / 2pm-4pm
    *Mobile device required
    Learn more about your mobile device. Bring it to class and we'll show you how to use it more efficiently.      

  • Computer Basics*

    *Patron must have their own device and bring it to class.

Our new knitting and crocheting club, The Knotty Knit Wits, will be meeting once a month in the library meeting room and yarning up a storm. Come join us! Come be a little knotty!

The Knotty Knit Wits is a drop-in knitting and crocheting club, and all skill levels are welcome. Join other yarnies and learn to knit or crochet and work on your current projects. Come in and share tips or get advice. Registration not required.
