DISCUSSIONS at the E
A new book discussion group comes to Lakeland.

Discussions at the E is a monthly book discussion group, which meets at the elibrary South Lakeland, 4740 South Florida Avenue, on the first Thursday of every month at 12:30 p.m.

Each month the selected book can be purchased for $2.00 at the elibrary South Lakeland during the preceding month while supplies last. The books are underwritten by the Friends of the Library. Please feel free to bring a bag lunch. Tea will be provided.

The titles chosen for discussion are:

April 3, 2008
Kitchen Boy
By Robert Alexander

May 1, 2008
A Raisin in the Sun
By Lorraine Hansberry

The elibrary is considered an "express" public library that contains the most popular library services, collections and public access computers.

What makes an elibrary (or express library) different? The elibrary is not considered a full service library. The collection is smaller, there is no meeting room, no children's programming such as storytime and no reference collection. Full service library services are available at many other public libraries in Polk County.

FREE ADULT COMPUTER CLASSES NOW OFFERED @ the elibrary - Check with staff for a complete list topics covered or email Christina.Hielscher@lakelandgov.net

>15 public access computers and a wireless connection to the internet.

>Local newspapers and popular magazines.

>Television for real time local and national news.

>Friendly staff and a comfortable browsing environment.

Users can:
>Check out materials contained in the elibrary.
