All three Lakeland Library locations will CLOSE early at 5 PM on Wednesday, November 26th and remain closed through Friday, November 28th for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The Lakeland Public Library and Larry R. Jackson Branch Library will reopen on Saturday, November 29th at 9 AM.
The Kelly Branch Library will reopen Monday, December 1st at 9 AM.
This is NOT your Mother’s Book Club! Join your favorite librarians at the Lakeland Public Library on December 2nd at 5:30 PM to discuss "Wreck the Halls" by Tessa Bailey. Each month, we will explore new genres, share recommendations, and make friends.
The Sweet & Spicy Book Club meets at the Lakeland Public Library on the first Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. This event is for ages 18+. No registration required.
Join us on Saturday, December 6th at 9 AM for a walking tour of one of Lakeland’s oldest cemeteries, Roselawn Cemetery. Explore local history through the stories of past residents and learn about the meanings behind funerary symbols.
Stories and Stones Historic Cemetery tours are offered monthly, alternating between Lakeview, Tiger Flowers, and Roselawn Cemeteries. Tours run October through March and are for ages 13+. Registration is required.

All three Lakeland Library locations have preschool storytimes for children ages 2-5 and their grownups! With stories, songs, rhymes, and activities, storytimes promote the development of preliteracy, verbal and listening skills, and socio-emotional skills.
