Mayfaire Library Hours at Main Library

The Lakeland Public Library will be open regular hours on Saturday, May 11th but closed on Sunday, May 12th, for Mayfaire.

We will reopen on Monday, May 13th at 9 am.

Star Wars Bingo at Lakeland Public Library

We're traveling to a galaxy far, far away for a cosmic afternoon of Star Wars Bingo. Fans of all ages are invited to join us at the Lakeland Public Library on Saturday, May 4th from 2 PM to 3:30PM to celebrate Star Wars Day while we play bingo that features some of your favorite characters, locations, and objects from the Star Wars universe. 

As players, you will choose an alliance when you receive your bingo cards: Sith or Jedi. The alliance who wins the most rounds will reign supreme in the galaxy.

No registration required.

Star Wars Party at Jackson Branch Library

It's NOT a trap! May the Fourth be with you at the library as we celebrate Star Wars Day. On Saturday May the Fourth from 2-4 pm, jump to light speed to get to the Larry R. Jackson Branch Library for Star Wars-themed activities, treats, crafts, and prizes. Robes, armor, and/or space buns encouraged.

The Star Wars Party is open to padawans, Jedi masters, and Sith lords of all ages, no registration required.

Preschool Storytimes at Lakeland Libraries

All three Lakeland Library locations have preschool storytimes for children ages 2-5 and their grownups! With stories, songs, rhymes and activities, storytimes promote the development of preliteracy, verbal and listening skills, and socio-emotional skills.

Join us at 11 AM on select Thursdays at the Lakeland Public Library for an interactive lapsit Baby Storytime with songs, rhymes, and fingerplays! 

Baby Storytime is designed for ages birth to 2 years old.
