Ahoy, mateys! A ghostly ship has docked at the Larry R. Jackson Branch Library, and pirates are taking over! On both Thursday October 30th from 4:30-6:30 pm AND Friday October 31st from 2:30-4:30 pm, the library will feature an eerie, yet family-friendly walkthrough, games with treasure, and, of course, candy! Come to whichever session fits your busy schedule.
The Haunted Shipwreck is open to buccaneers of all ages, no registration required, and family-friendly costumes (including pirate garb) are encouraged.

Join us on Wednesday, October 29th at 3 PM in the Commons at the Lakeland Public Library to learn about “bone builders” and “bone bandits,” get practical tips for protecting your bones at any age, and even sample a delicious, bone-healthy recipe. Walk away with easy ways to boost your bone strength beyond the milk carton in this fun, educational class with the University of Florida!
