This series consists of photographs documenting the activities of the Lodwick School of Aeronautics in Lakeland and the Lodwick Aviation Military Academy in Avon Park, Florida.  The photographs were donated by former instructors, staff, and cadets assigned to the two schools.  Some of the photographs were taken by the donors, while others are personal copies of photographs taken by school or newspaper photographers.

The photographs depict the daily activities of the two schools and document such things as ground school and flight training, drills and marches, physical fitness activities, commencement ceremonies, open houses, luncheons, and picnics.  Also included are posed and candid photos of cadets, instructors, staff, and group photos of specific classes of cadets.

The photographs have been organized into broad categories such as activities, cadets, classes, instructors, and visitors and arranged alphabetically by the subject of the photograph within each category.
