    Children's Theater at the Lakeland Public Library is an interactive storytime that lets kids become the stars! Join us on Saturday, September 12th at 2 PM to be part of the fun. Suggest themes, perform on stage, or just sit back and watch the show.

    Designed for children ages 4 and up. No registration required.

    Strum Bugs Ukulele Camp for Kids

    Learn to play the ukulele! Join us for a four-day beginner ukulele series at the Lakeland Public Library, Tuesday, September 22nd through Friday, September 25th from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM each day. Kids will learn the basics of playing the ukulele, practice simple chords, and enjoy plenty of joyful strumming together. No experience needed.

    This class is perfect for young beginners ages 4-10, but seats are limited to 8 participants and registration is required. Reserve your spot and get ready to make some music!

    Registration is required and will open on Tuesday, September 15th at 3:30 PM. When you register, you are signed up for all four days in the series. Each participant must be registered separately.

    Make your own zine at the Lakeland Public Library! Join us on Monday, September 14th at 5:30 PM in the Meeting Room and share your ideas, stories, poetry, art, and more. You can even contribute it to Lakeland's Zine Library. All materials provided.

    No registration required. Ages 16+.

    Preschool Storytimes at Lakeland Libraries

    All three Lakeland Library locations have preschool storytimes for children ages 2-5 and their grownups! With stories, songs, rhymes, and activities, storytimes promote the development of preliteracy, verbal and listening skills, and socio-emotional skills.
