Library Holiday Hours

All three Lakeland Library locations will be closed Monday, September 7th for the Labor Day holiday.

We will reopen Tuesday, September 8th at 9 AM.

Adventurer's Guild RPG

Dungeon-crawling, dragon-slaying, dice-rolling fun for ages 13-17! Join us on Friday, September 4th at 3 PM in the Commons at the Lakeland Public Library for a role playing game where you can play your character in a fantasy setting. Beginners welcome. All materials provided.

Adult CPR/AED Certification Workshop

Join the Lakeland Public Library and Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts Department staff on Thursday, September 10th from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM in the Commons to learn essential lifesaving skills with hands-on practice responding to cardiac and breathing emergencies in adults. Participants who successfully complete the assessment at the end of the 4-hour course will receive American Red Cross CPR certification. 

Registration is required and opens Thursday, September 3rd at 9:30 AM. Limited seats. Ages 18+.

Preschool Storytimes at Lakeland Libraries

All three Lakeland Library locations have preschool storytimes for children ages 2-5 and their grownups! With stories, songs, rhymes, and activities, storytimes promote the development of preliteracy, verbal and listening skills, and socio-emotional skills.
