    Youth Intermediate Sewing Saturday on November 8th at Main Library

    We've got sewing machine basics, where can we go? Join us on Saturday, October 11th at 10:00 am at the Lakeland Public Library for projects to sew!

    Older kids and teens ages 9-17 who have taken our Spools Out for Summer sewing series or have hands-on experience using a sewing machine independently are invited to join us for a free 90-minute class. Sewing Saturday is limited to ten (10) participants and registration is required. Each participant must be registered separately.

    November's Project: Drawstring Fabric Gift Bag

    **Please note, this is not an introduction to sewing or sewing machines. Students need to have some basic experience using a sewing machines to participate.**

    Children's Theater

    Children's Theater at the Lakeland Public Library is an interactive storytime that lets kids become the stars! Join us on Saturday, November 1st at 2 PM to be part of the fun. Suggest themes, perform on stage, or just sit back and watch the show. Designed for children ages 4 and up.
    No registration required.

    Author Talk with Madeline Martin at Lakeland Public Library

    The Lakeland Public Library is excited to host New York Times Bestselling author, Madeline Martin, on Thursday, November 6th at 5:30 PM in the Meeting Room! Martin is known for her historical fiction and historical romance novels. She will be giving a presentation on her writing process and books, including her most recent release: The Secret Book Society. Local bookstore, Pressed Books & Coffee, will be on site selling some of Martin's books for the book signing afterwards!

    All ages welcome. No registration required.

    Arts & Health Week at the Libraries

    Help us build a community puzzle celebrating Watson Clinic’s Arts and Health Week 2025! Stop by any of the three Lakeland Libraries to take home a puzzle piece you can decorate and add to the puzzle. Return your decorated puzzle piece to any Lakeland Library by Monday, November 10th!

    Bullet Journal Workshops

    Join us in preparing our bullet journals, planners, and diaries for 2026!

    The Build Your Own Bullet Journal Workshop is a one-hour program that will be offered four times, on Monday evenings (11/3, 11/10, 11/17, and 11/24) in November at the Lakeland Public Library. Each workshop will be held in The Commons from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM

    Whether you are a veteran journal keeper or just getting started, there is always something new to learn. After a short presentation, we will provide various materials to customize your journal, including pens, markers, stickers, stamps, scrapbook paper, washi tape, and more. Please bring your own journal or planner to work with.

    Registration is not required. This event is for ages 18+.
