    Ultimate Improv for Teens

    Did you ever want to try out acting?  Well, this is the perfect place.  You get to create characters, act out scenes, and just have fun through a variety of games and improv exercises.  No scripts, no rehearsals, and everything is made up on the spot!

    Stories & Stones Walking Tour

    Join us on Saturday, February 28th at 9 AM for a walking tour of Lakeland’s oldest Black cemetery, Tiger Flowers Memorial Cemetery. Explore local history through the stories of past residents and learn about the meanings behind funerary symbols.

    Stories and Stones Historic Cemetery tours are offered monthly, alternating between Lakeview, Tiger Flowers, and Roselawn Cemeteries. Tours run October through March and are for ages 13+. Registration is required.

    Divorce 101 Workshop

    Divorce can be an emotionally and financially overwhelming experience. Join Edward Jones at the Lakeland Public Library on Thursday, February 19th at 5:30 PM for a supportive and informative workshop focused on the divorce process and the important decisions that often come with it. Learn the basics of:

    • Property division
    • Debt support
    • Equitable distributions
    • And much more!

    Preschool Storytimes at Lakeland Libraries

    All three Lakeland Library locations have preschool storytimes for children ages 2-5 and their grownups! With stories, songs, rhymes, and activities, storytimes promote the development of preliteracy, verbal and listening skills, and socio-emotional skills.
