MUNN PARK THEN AND NOW
| | The Magic Fountain, 1965 |

| | Back | | The magic fountain was a gift of the Lakeland Downtown Merchants Association in 1961. It was a combination of fountains, colored lights, and sometimes music. It frequently broke down and was finally removed during a renovation of Munn Park in the late 1980's and early 1990's. The current fountain, which stands at the north end of the park, was a gift of local businessman Kirk McKay,. It was installed in 1992. |
