| | Back | Greylocks was one of Lakeland's earliest and most elegant private residences. It was built in 1885 by citrus grower Spencer Minor Stephens on the east shore of Lake Hollingsworth. It was later owned by the family of Florida governor and U. S. Senator Park Trammell. Greylocks was severely damaged by a fire in 1965 and torn down in 1967. It is now the site of Lake Hollingsworth Villa Apartments.
