Back
Calvin Waggoner(in the suit in front of the fence)came to Lakeland in 1884 with his wife and several members of the Riggins family. He and Norman and Mann Riggins opened a dry goods store at the corner of Main and Tennessee. He built this house in what is now the 200 block of South Tennessee Avenue in the mid 1880's. The house was later disassembled and rebuilt on Riggins Street to serve as the Manse for the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
