SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The records in this collection were created as a result of a survey of the proposed Lake Hunter Terrace Historic District commissioned in 2000 by Lakeland's Community Development Office. The survey was conducted during the spring of 2000 by Sydney Johnston under contract to the City of Lakeland.
The company produced completed site survey forms for 150+ structures in the Lake Hunter Terrace neighborhood which were more than fifty years old and thus eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. It was this survey that played a major role in gaining historic district status for the Lake hunter Terrace neighborhood.
The records in this collection have been organized into one series, the Site Survey Forms. The site survey forms are pre-printed forms completed by surveyors for each of the structures in the district believed to be more than fifty years old. Each of the completed forms contains a variety of useful information about each structure surveyed.
