ALBERT I. LODWICK PAPERS (RG2700), 1911-1959

SERIES II; CORRESPONDENCE, 1937-1956

General James Doolittle

This series contains primarily the personal correspondence of Lodwick. Business correspondence can be found in Series III-VI. It appears that Lodwick was a prolific letter writer and the correspondence in this series represents only a small sample. It does, however, reveal a great deal about his interests and concerns.

Among those with whom he corresponded are General James Doolittle, Commanding General of the 8th Air Force,(pictured above right with Lodwick) Ira Eaker, Commanding General of Mediterranean Allied Air Forces, and noted journalist Lowell Thomas.

The correspondence is arranged alphabetically by the name of the correspondent and chronologically within folders.
