LODWICK AVIATION MILITARY ACADEMY DEDICATION CEREMONY 1995

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
The Lodwick Aviation Military Academy in Avon Park, Florida was one of two flight training schools owned and operated by Albert Lodwick in central Florida. The other was the Lodwick School of Aeronautics in Lakeland. Both of the schools offered ground and basic flight training to pilots for service in the Army Air Corps in World War II. The Lodwick School of Aeronautics operated from 1940 to 1945 and the Lodwick Aviation Military Academy from 1941 to 1944.

This collection consists of materials documenting the placing of three markers commemorating the Lodwick Aviation Military Academy in 1995. Included are a videotape of the ceremony, photographs, correspondence, newspaper clippings, a copy of a reminiscence of one of the cadets, and forms completed by the former cadets who returned for the dedication.
