SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE |
E. Meade Wilson was a vice-president and later chairman of the board of the Polk Federal Savings and Loan Corporation, later Barnett Bank. As a corporate officer, he frequently received certificates, official greetings, and scrolls. This collection contains several examples of such certificates, greetings, etc., including an official greeting from the State of Georgia signed by then Governor Jimmy Carter.
The material was donated to the Special Collections unit of the Lakeland Public Library by Russell Collins, an officer of the Barnett Bank in Lakeland.
