RECORDS OF THE LAKELAND CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL SOCIETY DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION (RG245) 1928-2001

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
This collection contains records documenting the activities of the Lakeland Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. The above photo is of the 1930-31 Board Members. The Special Collections unit houses 7 volumes of the History and Roster of the DAR in Florida (1892-1998), the Index, and A Century of Service: The Story of the DAR 1890-1990 (SC 369.135, H945). 

The records are organized into three series as follows:

Series I, Subject Files, 1947-2001, includes annual reports, minutes of board and general meetings, by-laws, certificates and citations, correspondence, treasurer's reports, newsletters, newspaper clippings, and published materials.

Series II, Scrapbooks, 1928-1995, includes 25 scrapbooks documenting the actrivities of Lakeland Chapter of the DAR and includes reports, newspaper clippings, newsletters, photographs, project descriptions, certificates, programs, and yearbooks. The scrapbooks supplement the records found in the Subject Files.

Series III. Memorabilia, consists of a DAR banner and a commemorative flag honoring the 50th anniversary of World War II.
