SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE |
The Municipal Libraries Caucus was formed in 1983 at the Florida Library Association to represent approximately 90 independent municipal libraries. Its purpose was "to offer to librarians, personnel, trustees, and libraries whose governing authority is not a county or regional library, and to other interested persons, a forum which would provide stimulation, inspiration, and practical suggestions in addressing specific problems or areas of concern as identified by Caucus membership and to help membership stay abreast of current trends and issues."
Included in the record group are minutes from the Florida Library Association Annual Conference meeting in Lakeland in 1928. The records are organized alphabetically by subject. See also the Records of the Florida Public Library Association, RG2600.
