The records in this series document to some extent the activities of the ad hoc and standing committees of the Florida Public Library Association. Among the committees represented in this series are the Awards, By-laws, Conference Planning, Legislative, Membership, Newsletter Policy, Professional Development, and Public Relations Committees. The records of the Executive Board are also included. Types of records include agenda, minutes of meetings, correspondence, reports, award citations, and brochures.
The agenda and minutes of the Executive Board are particularly significant in that they document the meetings of the organization's leadership and provide insight into its evolving strategy to gain equitable funding for all public libraries in Florida.
The records in this series are arranged alphabetically by the name of the committee and chronologically within folders.
