SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE |
Edythe Turner grew up in Mulberry, Florida. She was an army nurse during World War II. Afterwards, while she was chief nurse at Fitzsimons Army Hospital in Denver, Colorado, she nursed President Eisenhower during his recovery from his heart attack. The collection consists of newspaper articles, a 1957 Presidential Inauguration invitation and program, and photographs of her and President Eisenhower at Fitzsimons Army Hospital.
