Mobile users can stay connected with the City of Lakeland by using our new Link2Lakeland app.  Users can access the most recent news posts, view upcoming City events with the community calendar, report neighborhood issues and much more. The City’s official FaceBook page, Twitter feed and YouTube channel can also be accessed very easily with the touch of the screen.  Citizen engagement makes Lakeland a better place and the community is encouraged to join the conversation through social media to learn what the City does each day and how they can play a part.

    The City of Lakeland and the Detroit Tigers have reached agreement on the terms and conditions that will be included in a contract that will extend the City’s relationship with the organization another 20 years. The current contract signed in 2000 expires December 31, 2016. The new contract will solidify the Detroit Tigers continuing their Spring Training, their Class A Minor League operations with the Flying Tigers and their rehabilitative program at Joker Marchant Stadium and the TigerTown Complex through 2036.
  • ROAD CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: Hallam Drive Refsurfacing Project Posted last week
    Contractors working for the City of Lakeland will begin Milling and Resurfacing Hallam Dr from Cleveland Heights to Lakeland Highlands Rd on July 21st.     The North American Lakes Management Society (NALMS) has designated July as Lakes Appreciation Month to recognize the importance of lakes for drinking water, energy production, food production, and for aesthetic and recreational value. The City of Lakeland’s Lakes & Stormwater division is asking citizens to participate in a lake cleanup on one (or more) Friday(s) in July as part of Lakes Appreciation Month.
