Airside Center Drive Closing for 11 Days - City News Blog

Bartow, Fla. (December 15, 2023) | A large drainage pipe being installed as part of Polk County’s West Pipkin Road widening project will close Airside Center Drive in south Lakeland near the GEICO Corporate Office and Lakeland Linder Airport for 11 days starting Tuesday, December 19. Traffic will be briefly detoured along Old Medulla Road to bypass the work zone located just north of the Airside Center Drive and West Pipkin Road intersection. Southbound traffic along Airside Center Drive will still be able to make a westbound right-turn onto Aviation Drive. Commuters can expect moderate travel delays, especially during weekday peak-hour traffic. Drivers are advised to drive carefully and to add extra time to trips through this area.
