Public Notice: Water Main Break on 540A Impacting Westbound Lane


LAKELAND, FL (January 19, 2024) | City Water Department crews are repairing a water main break that is impacting the westbound lane of 540A from Scott Lake Road to Lakeland Highlands Road. The water main break was discovered Thursday, January 18 with crews continuing to work on the repair Friday, January 19, 2024. Traffic control is in place for the duration of the work to least impact vehicular movements, allowing local traffic to get to their destination. The impacted roadway is expected to reopen for the weekend with a temporary pavement repair. The roadway will be closed again on Monday, January 22, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. so the impacted roadway can be repaired with a more permanent solution.
