The Bureau is divided into Support Services Division and Fiscal Management. Support Services is further divided into General Services Section and Communications Section.
Fiscal Management maintains the department's budget and handles the financial and accounting activities of the agency, to include payroll and accounts payable & receivable. Mr. Charley Dormer is the supervisor of Fiscal Management.
The General Services Section (GSS) provides a wide range of services in support of line operations. These include the Records Section where copies of reports are maintained, Property and Evidence where all evidence is received and catalogued, and Human Resources where the functions of Recruiting, Career Development, and Training are located. GSS is also responsible for overseeing the fleet of police vehicles and facility maintenance of the police station. Lt. Anne-marie Wendel is the Officer in Charge of General Services.
The Communications Center operates the 911 call center and dispatch operations on a 24 hour basis for both the police department and the Lakeland Fire Department. Lt. Joe Henson is the Officer in Charge of the Communications Center.
