REQUESTS FOR RECORDS
AND INFORMATION
The Lakeland Police Department maintains records for our agency only . Requests to our agency should be directed to the Records Section of the department and will be processed in accordance with the Florida Public Records Act. The LPD Records Section is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., telephone 863-834-6900. A fee will be charged for copies of all reports or information requested.
All arrest information is maintained by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). If you wish to get a copy of a person's criminal history, you must contact FDLE. They may be reached via the web at www.fdle.state.fl.us. The information on the web explains how to obtain a criminal history on a person and the cost for each criminal history requested.
Requests for records maintained by the Polk County Sheriff's Office such as PCSO arrests, warrants, or jail inmate information should be directed to that agency. The PCSO web site is: www.polksheriff.org.
