    Investigative Services Bureau

    Welcome to the Investigative Services Bureau of the Lakeland Police Department. ISB is responsible for a wide range of investigative functions, the crime lab, and other related services to the community. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you might have.

    The Bureau is divided into three major sections, Criminal Investigations, Juvenile Services, and Special Investigations. A total of 71 sworn personnel and 22 civilian members comprise the entire bureau. These members include supervisors, detectives, crime scene technicians, and office support staff.

    The Criminal Investigations Section (CIS) is responsible for follow up investigations into violent crime, property crime, auto theft, economic crime, frauds, and the crime lab. Lt. Al Wilson serves as the Officer in Charge of CIS.

    The Juvenile Services Section (JSS) investigates crimes against children and missing children. Also a part of the Juvenile section is the School Resource Unit, which includes School Resource Officers, the Truancy Intervention Program, and the Police Athletic League (PAL). Lt. Ralph Schrader serves as the Officer in Charge of JSS.

    The Special Investigations Section (SIS) handles cases involving vice complaints, narcotic offenses, gang-related investigations, and criminal intelligence operations. Lt. Victor White serves as the Officer in Charge of SIS.
