      The Lakeland Police department responded to a report of a shooting at 940 Castle Way at 10:55 p.m. on Monday, July 25, 2016. Officers found Johnathan “Jay” Charles-Pierre, age 35, deceased inside the residence with a gunshot wound to the chest.
    • Twelve Hour Stand-Off Ends with Suspect’s Arrest Posted 4 days ago
      The Lakeland Police department responded to a report of a domestic aggravated assault at 1616 Hollingsworth Creek at 6:35 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2016. The victim advised officers that his brother, Guerry Jason Wardell, age 48, threatened him with a baseball bat and was still somewhere inside the house they shared. The victim also advised that guns were in the house in various locations.
    • Lakeland Police Investigate Triple Traffic Fatality Posted 2 weeks ago
      Lakeland Police responded to a traffic crash at approximately 11:36 pm near the intersection of Hwy 98 North and Plaza Drive.
    • Pedestrian vs. Vehicle Posted 2 weeks ago
      Lakeland Police responded to a traffic crash involving a pedestrian at approximately 4:00 pm. Driver, Maikol Herrera-Rodriguez (Age 21 of 4645 Dimbath Road, Lakeland) was driving a Ford pick-up and was stopped at the stop sign in the northbound lane on Old Hwy 37 at Alamo. Pedestrian, Bessy Troutman (Age 66 of 633 W Remington Road, Lakeland) was walking southbound in the west crosswalk at this intersection. Herrera-Rodriguez made a left turn into the west crosswalk and struck Ms. Troutman.
