City of Lakeland Special Runoff Election

Early walk-In voting will be available April 26 - May 3 weekdays only, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., in the following locations:

  • NOTICE OF CANVASSING BOARD MEETINGS: 2021 LAKELAND SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION (Click to Expand)

    Notice is hereby given that the City of Lakeland Canvassing Board will convene at the following times:

    April 2, 2021 at 8:20 a.m. in the City Commission Conference Room at Lakeland City Hall, 228 S Massachusetts Ave, Lakeland FL 33801.  The purpose of this meeting is to authorize the City Clerk to begin processing Vote By Mail ballots.

    April 5, 2021 at 2:50 p.m. in City Commission Chambers at Lakeland City Hall, 228 S Massachusetts Ave, Lakeland FL 33801.  The purpose of this meeting is to authorize the City Clerk to begin processing Vote By Mail ballots received over the weekend.

    April 6, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. at the Election Operations Center, 70 Florida Citrus Bl., Winter Haven, FL 33880 to canvass absentee ballots for the 2021 Lakeland Special Municipal Election.

    April 6, 2021 at 7 p.m. at the Election Operations Center, 70 Florida Citrus Bl., Winter Haven, FL 33880 to canvass absentee ballots, receive precinct totals, and certify unofficial results for the 2021 Lakeland Special Municipal Election.

    April 9, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. in the City Commission Conference Room at Lakeland City Hall, 228 S Massachusetts Ave, Lakeland FL 33801 to review provisional ballots, certify election results and randomly select the race and precinct for the manual audit.

    April 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the City Commission Chamber at Lakeland City Hall, 228 S Massachusetts Ave, Lakeland FL 33801 to conduct the manual audit.

    Anyone deciding to appeal a decision by the Canvassing Board on the above subject matter at these meetings will need a record of the proceedings and for purposes of that appeal, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, including the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be made.
