Helpful Tips for Accessibility in Lakeland

    If your vehicle has a disabled parking permit in the window or on the license plate, you may park in a “Disabled” space for any length of time, with no charge.  If your vehicle with disabled parking permit is parked in a timed “general” space, you may park for free, for up to double the posted time.  We also have an online map that will show accessible spaces.

     Hollis Garden is a 1.2-acre botanical garden that is accessible to all who wish to take in its beauty, and admission is free. The garden has over 10,000 different species of plants and flowers and gorgeous views of Lake Mirror. The garden is named after the Hollis family that donated the land.

    Lake Morton is the premier lake to watch our City swans and their families.  We have added two accessible viewing areas that are available to individuals with wheelchairs and walkers.  The concrete pads, walkways and tables are currently available.  These areas are on Lake Morton Drive at East Walnut Street and on Lake Morton drive at Kentucky Avenue.
