All three Lakeland Library locations will be closed Monday, May 26th for the Memorial Day holiday.

We will reopen on Tuesday, May 27th at 9 AM.

Horticulture Workshop: Pollinator Paradise

Join us in the Lakeland Public Library Meeting Room on Tuesday, May 27th from 10 AM to 11 AM to explore the art of horticulture in an engaging collaborative program with the University of Florida. In this workshop, you can learn about pollinators and how to create a beautiful and sustainable environment for them. No registration required. Ages 18+.

Herb Explorers Workshop at Jackson Branch

Get ready for a sensory adventure that’s fun for all ages!

Join us at the Larry R. Jackson Branch Library on Saturday, May 24th at 10 AM for a hands-on workshop presented by UF/IFAS Extension where we'll explore the delightful scents and textures of flowers and herbs as we craft our own sensory dough. Perfect for families, this creative experience is open to all ages and skill levels.

Ultimate Improv for Teens

Did you ever want to try out acting?  Well, this is the perfect place.  You get to create characters, act out scenes, and just have fun through a variety of games and improv exercises.  No scripts, No rehearsals, everything is made up on the spot!

Preschool Storytimes at Lakeland Libraries

All three Lakeland Library locations have preschool storytimes for children ages 2-5 and their grownups! With stories, songs, rhymes, and activities, storytimes promote the development of preliteracy, verbal and listening skills, and socio-emotional skills.
