AKELAND, FL (November 4, 2025) – Beginning Tuesday, November 18, 2025, the City of Lakeland will commence roadway milling and paving operations on Eden Pkwy/ S. Lincoln Ave. This work is part of the City’s ongoing preventative maintenance program designed to improve driving conditions and extend pavement lifespan.

LAKELAND, FL (October 31, 2025) | CSX Transportation has scheduled maintenance and repair work at two key railroad crossings in Lakeland as part of routine infrastructure improvements. These closures are necessary to allow crews to perform essential upgrades to enhance rail safety and ensure the long-term reliability of the network.

Staff from the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts Department will gather the swans by boat to prepare them for their annual veterinary wellness check.

LAKELAND, FL (Oct 27, 2025) - The 9th Annual Shredfest 2025 will take place on Saturday, November 15, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 605 Evelyn Avenue, Lakeland. Sponsored by the City of Lakeland, Shredfest is a FREE document shredding event at the City of Lakeland's Solid Waste Office. This one-day event allows residents to bring their personal documents to be securely shredded and recycled. Participants can bring up to five file boxes of paper per vehicle to be shredded and recycled. There is no need to remove envelopes, file folders, staples, tape, paper clips or rubber band
