Portion of S Kentucky Avenue Will Close for Wastewater Visual Inspection
LAKELAND, FL (August 27, 2018) - Traffic Operations and Parking Services (TOPS) is introducing plan to help enhance the operational safety of the Cleveland Heights Boulevard/Lake Miriam Drive/Scott Lake Road intersection. A number of stakeholders and citizen advocates assisted in the development of the safety enhancements. Input was received from Lakeland Highland Middle School, Polk County Traffic Operations, Lakeland Police Department and members from the City of Lakeland’s Public Works Department.
The Lakeland Fire Department, on behalf of the City of Lakeland, made a special presentation at Monday, August 20, 2018 Commission Meeting. The department recognized the dozens of community partners that gave a helping hand during a fire and subsequent evacuation at independent and assisted living facility Lake Morton Plaza.
LAKELAND, FL (August 7, 2018) - There will be a permanent change with the starting times of the Lakeland City Commission meetings starting September 4th. This date will mark the new time shift from 9 AM to 3 PM. All City Commission meetings take place the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month unless the date falls on a recognized holiday. This is the case for the Tuesday, September 4th meeting due to the Labor Day holiday.
