City News Blog: Silver Jubilee Plant Sale – Celebrating 25 Years of Hollis Garden
LAKELAND, FL (December 3, 2025) | The City of Lakeland is thrilled to announce the Silver Jubilee Plant Sale to celebrate the 25-year anniversary of Hollis Garden. The plant sale will take place at Hollis Garden on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This FREE event will feature three specialty vendors offering a variety of plants, to include bromeliads, house plants, aroids, and tropical fruits.
Our Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts Department is proud to welcome everyone to the Silver Jubilee Plant Sale to celebrate 25 years of Hollis Garden. Lakeland’s local garden club will be present as well. Per the predetermined conditions for the sale, the event is at capacity as far as vendors are concerned.

- The Green House
A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit the Hollis Garden Perpetual Care Fund. Located at 614 East Orange Street in downtown Lakeland, Hollis Garden is a stunning 1.2-acre botanical display garden nestled within historic Lake Mirror Park. Featuring over 10,000 flowers, ornamental shrubs, and native trees, it boasts a neo-classical architectural design, patterned flower beds, public art, and ornamental fountains.
