Public Notice: City of Lakeland Wastewater Collection Division to Close Portion of Pine Street for Sewer Repair


LAKELAND, FL (January 26, 2026) – The City of Lakeland Wastewater Collection Division will close Pine Street between N. Florida Avenue and N. Tennessee Avenue beginning Wednesday, January 28, 2026, to repair a broken sewer service that serves multiple businesses.
Repair work is scheduled to begin promptly Wednesday morning and is anticipated to take several days to complete. This work is necessary to restore reliable wastewater service and prevent further infrastructure issues.
Traffic control measures and detour signage will be in place to guide motorists safely around the closed portion of Pine Street. Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes and use caution in the area while work is underway.
The City of Lakeland appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as this essential infrastructure repair is completed.
