Women of LPD Career Opportunity Meet-and-Greet


LAKELAND, FL (March 4, 2026) – In celebration of Women's History Month, the Lakeland Police Department invites the community to attend their annual Women’s Career Event on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Lakeland Police Department Training Center, 3131 Centurion Drive, Lakeland, Florida.  Whether you are interested in becoming a sworn officer or pursuing a civilian career that plays a vital role behind the scenes, this educational event is for you. 

This interactive meet-and-greet will showcase the women who serve across the department in both sworn and civilian professional roles — representing the strength and diversity of the Lakeland community through a broad range of backgrounds, experiences, and life journeys.

Representatives from K-9, SWAT, Traffic, Patrol, Forensic Services, Detectives, Firearms Instructors, and 911 Communications (Dispatch), along with other specialized and support units, will be on hand to share their experiences and answer questions.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore displays, observe demonstrations, and speak directly with both officers and professional staff about the wide variety of possible career paths available within at the Lakeland Police Department — from law enforcement and investigative roles to forensic, communications, administrative, and technical careers. Recruiting team members will also be on hand to answer any questions about the hiring process and qualifications required.
