LAKELAND, FL (May 28, 2024) | Starting June 10, 2024, the City of Lakeland Parks Division will remove two declining laurel oak trees adjacent to the Lake Hollingsworth multi-use trail. The trees have noticeable and documented issues that could cause a hazard to those using the trail. The impacted trees are located on the west side of Lake Hollingsworth across from Patten Heights Street and Hibriten Way (pictures attached). The City Arborist confirmed that the two trees need to be removed as hurricane season beings.
LAKELAND, FL (May 22, 2024) | Starting Monday, June 10, 2024, the City of Lakeland Wastewater Collection Division will be constructing a new sewer service in the vicinity of 207 Glendale Street and 215 Glendale Street (see attached vicinity map). Glendale Street will be closed between Troy Avenue and Hilltop Avenue so the construction can take place. Access to Hilltop Avenue and Troy Avenue will not be impacted by the project.

LAKELAND, FL (April 26, 2024) | The City of Lakeland is pleased to announce that the Five Points Roundabout project has been successfully completed 94 days ahead of schedule and will reopen to the public on Monday, April 29, 2024. The intersection at West Main Street, West Lemon Street and Sloan Avenue was temporarily closed while the signalized intersection was converted to a modern single lane roundabout.
