Public Notice: Data Center Application Update - June 3 DRT Meeting Cancelled
LAKELAND, FL (May 2, 2026) - This afternoon, the applicant for the proposed Lakeland data center requested cancellation of the scheduled Wednesday, June 3, 2026 Development Review Team meeting, following receipt of application review comments from the DRT.
The next steps of the process are for the applicant to review the DRT comments, determine how they wish to proceed, and decide whether to submit additional information, to apply or seek further clarification from City staff.
No final decisions have been made regarding the project. Currently, the timeline rests with the applicant, and there is no required deadline for the applicant to respond to the DRT’s comments. The referenced DRT comment document from the initial review is included with this post. The City will continue to provide updates as this process develops.
