All Lakeland Fire Department (LFD) stations serve as Safe Haven locations for newborns. Any parent or guardian in possession of a newborn can safely and anonymously surrender the baby at a staffed fire station, without fear of prosecution.

Newborns can be surrendered at any LFD fire station or administrative office—no questions asked. Your safety and the well-being of the child is our top priorities. 💙🚒 Additional Program information can be accessed here.
