LAKELAND, FL (February 10, 2025) | Ardurra Group Inc., on behalf of the City of Lakeland, will conduct an architectural survey of the Dixieland and Munn Park Historic Districts from February 10–19, 2025. During this period, Ardurra employees wearing high-visibility vests will document historic resources from the public right-of-way. The South Lake Morton Historic District was resurveyed in 2022 during Phase One of the project.

LAKELAND, FL (January 28, 2025) | The City of Lakeland’s Division of Solid Waste, in partnership with the Polk County Solid Waste Division, will host a FREE Household Hazardous Waste and End-of-Life Electronics Collection Event on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. This event will be held at the City of Lakeland’s Solid Waste Division Office, located at 605 Evelyn Avenue (off Parker Street). The goal of this mobile collection event is to provide a convenient and safe way for residents to dispose of hazardous household materials and electronic waste.

LAKELAND, FL (January 27, 2025) | A section of Easton Drive, between Cambridge Avenue and Fairmount Avenue, will be repaved with asphalt due to safety issues caused by repeated washouts of the existing brick street during heavy rainfall. These washouts have occurred multiple times, undermining the brick foundation and creating hazardous conditions for motorists.
