Help for Public Service Agencies

The City of Lakeland awards approximately $160,000 annually to qualified nonprofit public service agencies and local government programs serving low to moderate income clients in the following categories:

  • Child Care
  • Drug Abuse Counseling/Treatment
  • Education Program
  • Fair Housing Counseling
  • Health Care
  • Homeless Citizens Service
  • Public Safety Service
  • Recreation Program
  • Senior Citizens Service
  • Special Needs

To qualify for funding, an agency must be tax exempt 501(c)(3).

PUBLIC SERVICES APPLICATIONS

Program Year 2023-2024

The Application is available now online only for non-profit organizations seeking funds to provide public service programs for the program year 2023-2024.

The application cycles for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and General Fund have been consolidated into one cycle.
