The Lakeland Police Department maintains police reports and records for our agency only. Requests for copies of a police report or traffic crash report should be directed to:

LPD records requests will be processed in accordance with the Florida Public Records Act. A fee will be charged for copies of all reports or information requested.

Traffic Crash Report Information

Traffic crash accident reports may be requested within 60 days of the accident. You must complete the attached sworn statement and have it notarized prior to receiving the report.

Criminal History Requests

All arrest information is maintained by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). If you wish to get a copy of a person's criminal history, you must contact FDLE and request this service. FDLE may be contacted via the web at www.fdle.state.fl.us.

The FDLE website explains how to obtain a criminal history on a person and the cost for each criminal history requested.

Warrant, Arrest, Jail Inmate Information

Requests for records maintained by the Polk County Sheriff's Office such as PCSO arrests, warrants, or jail inmate information should be directed to that agency. The PCSO web site is: www.polksheriff.org.

Public Records Requests

For assistance in making public records requests in accordance with F.S.S. 119, you may contact the Public Records Coordinator at lpdmedia@lakelandgov.net.

Requests for public records may be made 24 hours a day/7 days a week.  These requests will be processed during normal business hours; Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
